The Swahili bed is a bed that is in the East African coast. It is a bed or a couch that people use in their house for furniture. The reason why people use it is because in the East African coast it is hot and humid so the bed has little holes and thin material so that air can get to your skin when you are sleeping.
The material they use is locally grown mvuli or mbamba kofi trees. The straps for the bed are created out of palmetto leaves than witches are socked in the salt water and then woven into rope. This piece of furniture is one of the top selling beds which are very good considering it doesn’t look that comfy to sleep on or sit on.
This bed is an all purpose bed you can make it in to a couch, a bed, a table or even just for decoration would be nice to have outside or in your house.
I thought this was interesting because it was the top selling furniture in the East African Coast. And for the people that enjoy reading post that are about new things that come out around the world.
Wow I ‘ve seen them but I don’t think they are comfortable to sleep or sit on it. I never thought it was going to be a top selling furniture. In africa they do use it more than people here in LA.
